Sead Kolasinac has won Arsenal’s Player of the Month award for August, after Arsenal fans voted on through there website. New signing Kolasinac earned 50% of the fan vote ahead of Alexande Lacazette (26%) and Petr Cech (24%), despite the Bosnian being subbed against the Potters and dropped for the clash at Anfield.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international Sead Kolasinac marked his competitive debut with a towering header against Chelsea in the Community Shield, and impressed with his physical strength and robust performances..
Kolasinac wasn’t even called from the bench in the Gunners’ 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool in their last game, with fans perhaps venting their frustration at manager Arsene Wenger through this vote.
With Arsenal so poor in their first three matches of the new campaign, this was not exactly a competitive contest this month, and it speaks volumes that a player who only played twice walked away with the prize.
