Kevin de Bruyne was at his devastating best against Feyenoord in Rotterdam, but is refusing to get too carried away with the 4-0 win over the Eredivisie champions. He ran the show against Feyenord and also grabbed an assist.
He was coming off the back of a great performance against Liverpool in which, they put 5 past there Liverpool, and Kevin de Bruyne picked up the man of the match award.
“I think we played a good game and obviously, with a two or three goal advantage it gave us more time and more space to play so while it’s a great start for us, it is still very early days,” De Bruyne said.
“Overall, we played well offensively and defensively. We pressed well, our full-backs attacked down the flanks and I thought we looked really dangerous.”
With a lot of first team players missing in the game against Feyenord, De bruyne understands that every player will be rotated at some stage in the coming weeks and months.
“We know how much quality we have and we are all aware that there will be times when we have to spend a couple of games on the bench because the guys that aren’t playing are at the same level and are always ready to step in,” he said.
“It’s a great situation for the Club and of course, we have a very busy schedule ahead of us so we’ll all play a part at some stage.
“I’ve learned so much from players like David Silva, Fernandinho and Yaya Toure so I think I’m improving my all-round game.
