English Premier league (EPL) Week 4 didn’t fail to live up to its name as the most exciting and competitive league in the world. Following up on Week 4, a 5 – 0 drubbing was given to Liverpool, who beat arsenal by similar score line in week 3, they were surprise away wins for Tottenham who destroyed Everton at home, Manchester United could not sustain there 100% win record, but they came out with a draw.
The EPL Table is already taking shape at the top with Man united, Man city, Chelsea, Tottenham already in the table top six. This week we bring you the Week 4 Man of the match winners for all the games played.
Manchester City 5 – 0 Liverpool
Man of the Match: Kevin de Bruyne
He set up Sergio Aguero’s opener with a deft pass and also picked out Gabriel Jesus for the second
Arsenal 3 – 0 AFC Bournemouth
Man of the Match: Danny Welbeck
The England Striker scored two goals and did an assist in the game for Lacazette to score
Brighton & Hove Albion 3 – 1 West Bromwich Albion
Man of the Match: Pascal Gross (Brighton)
He scored two goals, including Brighton’s first in the Premier League.
Everton 0 – 3 Tottenham Hotspur
Man of the Match: Harry Kane
He scored two goals one of which was a typically predatory finish.
Leicester City 1 – 2 Chelsea
Man of the Match: N’Golo Kante
Kante was sturdy in defence, winning 100% of his tackles, and also created three chances. His goal was just his third in the Premier League in his career.
Southampton 0 – 2 Watford
Man of the Match: Nathaniel Chalobah (Watford)
He won possession in the middle 3rd more times vs Saints (10) than any other player has managed in a PL match this season.
Stoke City 2 – 2 Manchester United
Man of the Match: Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Stoke)
He scored the two goals for Stoke City and he was a torn in the flesh for Manchester United defenders.
Burnley 1 – 0 Crystal Palace
Man of the Match: James Tarkowski (Burnley)
Tarkowski was a rock at the back for Burnley, making 18 clearances and four blocks. He mostly controlled Christian Benteke with ease.
Swansea City 0 – 1 Newcastle United
Man of the Match: Jamaal Lascelles (Newcastle)
The Newcastle captain saved a certain goal with his block from Abraham to cap an assured defensive display and then proved his team’s match-winner with his powerful headed goal
West Ham United 2 – 0 Huddersfield Town
