We have ourselves to blame – Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham drop vital points at points at home to Burnley, the match was already heading for a 1 – 0 result, but Burnley had other ideas, they equalised on the 90th minute, when Tottenham failed to kill of the game.

Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino was disappointed with the results and blamed the draw on a lack of concentration by the team, it happened against chelsea, also happened here at home against Burnley.

“Of course we’re disappointed, especially in the way we conceded the goal, only we’re responsible for conceding that goal,” said Mauricio Pochettino.

“It was a lack of concentration at the end like it was against Chelsea and it’s a real shame after all our effort to concede the draw. I think we deserved more but in the last two games here against Chelsea and Burnley we’ve suffered from a lack of concentration at the end of the game.”

Tottenham lost a lot of chances earlier in the game to kill of the game, and they were made to pay for missing those chances.

“It’s true we had a lot of possibilities to score the second goal and kill the game and when you don’t kill the game, you always give hope to the opponent to play a long ball to a big striker,” added Mauricio Pochettino.

“The feeling was if we don’t kill the game, that can happen and that’s how they scored. There is nothing to say now, we will work hard and try to fix the problems we’ve had at the start of the season.”
