Arsenal and Cologne have never met in any official competition before, but they have played a pair of friendlies before. Both of them were played in Cologne, and both were won by the Gunners. In 2012, they won 0-4 and in 2011 they won 1-2.

Following their 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, the Gunners will be heavy favourites going into the match.

Koln are coming from a 3 – 0 loss away in the Bundesliga. They started their domestic campaign pretty bad. After three weeks they have three losses, and only one goal scored. Currently, they are the bottom-ranked team in Germany.
