Arsenal were blown away by Liverpool at anfield, they put 4 past arsenal without even replying one. The overall performance was disgraceful and shocking. It seems a premier league side was playing against a second league division side.
Having lost 1 – 0 to Stoke City at home, we expected Arsenal to bounce back to winning ways, by showing there determination to get a favourable result, but from the first minute, there body language was off, it was as if they were spectators on the pitch.
Liverpool was spectacular on the afternoon, by first half they were two goals up, Roberto Firmino scored in the 17th minute with a header, then Sadio Mane scored a great goal on the 40th minute to make it 2 – 0 before the break, after the break arsenal picked up pace for the first 5mins in the game, but liverpool gradually took control of things and made it 3 – 0 through Mohamed Salah on the 57th minute, Daniel Sturridge came off the bench to make it 4 – 0 on the 77th minute. It was an all round performance.
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger reaction after a match summed up the feelings of all who watched the game, he said their 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, “is a consequence of our performance, which wasn’t good enough”.
It was a very disappointing performance. Of course it was shocking but the performance on the day was disastrous.”
“There are some reasons behind it [the defeat] which we have to analyse. The emotions are big and very negative.”
“That’s part of the crowd’s feeling. If I’m the problem, I’m the problem. I believe we lose together & we want our fans to be together”
